Vicki Blechta received a BMus from McGill University and a MMus from the University of Toronto. Her teachers have included Jeanne Baxtresser, André Jaunet and Louis Moyse. After teaching at the Royal Conservatory for 18 years, she founded the Toronto Flute School in 1998. As a recitalist, chamber musician and orchestral player, she has performed in Canada, recorded for the CBC, BBC Scotland and CFMX-FM, toured in Europe and the United Kingdom, and released two CDs. She is currently Principal Flute with Opera Kitchener.
