Shirlene enjoys a multi-faceted classical and popular performing and teaching career. She maintains a busy private piano and advanced theory studio for over 25 years. She is also a professional public speaker and mentor.

Shirlene is the creator of the 'A Millennium of Music', a set of new and courageous perspectives on musical education, craft and mentoring. These topics are available and can be slanted towards the student, parent, layperson, teacher or a professional organization. She also has been involved with the test marketing of the Hal Leonard Piano Course.

Several of her students have pursued musical careers as teachers and performers. Her exam stream students routinely achieve 'With Distinction' results.
