Sandra Pisani teaches piano, theory (rudiments and harmony) and music history from her home studio in Mississauga. She has over 25 years teaching experience, and is currently an active member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association (ORMTA) and the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers’ Associations (CFMTA). She teaches beginner through advanced students, kindergarten-aged through adult. Her students perform in local music festivals, complete exams with the Royal Conservatory of Music, and many have received awards and scholarships from local music festivals and competitions.
Outside of her studio, Sandra keeps active in the music community where she serves on the board of directors and as secretary for the Alliance for Canadian New Music Projects (ACNMP). She also serves on the executive committee for ORMTA. Sandra is also involved in administrative and organizational activities for the Peel Music Festival. Most recently, she has promoted contemporary Canadian music by giving workshops that advocate for the commission of new Canadian music and highlight the lives and works of Canadian composers.
When she is not busy with music, Sandra enjoys beading, scrapbooking and spending time with friends and family.
