Sylvia Hajetian holds an ARCT from the Royal Conservatory of Music, a Licentiate from the Western Board of Music, a Bachelor of Music from the University of Regina, and a Maitrise en Interpretation from Ecole Vincent D'Indy in Montreal. Her teachers include Rita de la Croix, Yvonne Hubert and Dorothy Bee and she has attended master classes with Lyell Gustin, Garth Beckett and Helmut Brauss. Ms. Hajetian has performed extensively across Canada and for CBC Radio.

Ms. Hajetian has taught at the McGill Conservatory of Music and the Regina Conservatory of Music. She is a member of the RCM College of Examiners (since 2002) and adjudicates and conducts master classes. Ms. Hajetian performs as a soloist and in chamber music, currently with "Trio Classico", and runs a busy music studio in Brampton, Ontario.
