Rosalind began her piano studies at the age of 4. During her tuition at the Royal Conservatory of Music she won numerous awards at music festivals, one of which was a scholarship from the Canadian Contemporary Music Festival. She graduated with an A.R.C.T. in performance (First Class Honours).
In order to adequately prepare students for the new Teacher's A.R.C.T. Piano Pedagogy program, Rosalind recently completed the 'Elementary' Certificate Teacher's A.R.C.T with first class honours.
Rosalind is an active accompanist for instrumentalists. She regularly accompanies flutists for R.C.M. exams and University of Toronto entrance auditions. During the summer months, she often performs at Church of Our Saviour and Donway Baptist Church. She also sings and has been a member of the Toronto Classical Singers choir.
Rosalind enjoys teaching and has been doing so successfully for the past 25 years. She has a successful private studio and also teaches piano at Bayview Glen Private School. She is an executive member of the Ontario Registered Music Teacher's Association (O.R.M.T.A.), and holds the position of Convener, Auditions and Recitals. She believes strongly in the examination system at the R.C.M. and also encourages students to enter in music festivals. Rosalind provides her students with as many performance opportunities as possible, namely, two recitals in December and June held at a church hall. Rosalind also teaches the theory, harmony and history required for senior students.
