Ms Sylvia Shoon holds an LTCL from the Trinity College of Music London, England; and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of York.

She was a primary school music teacher in Hong Kong. So she has quite a bit of experience and patience to deal with young children.

Her students have won countless number of prizes and scholarship awards from various competitions in Toronto. Moreover, many of her students received the first class honours with distinction in the RCM examinations, and some also won the silver medal awards. (Silver Medals are awarded each academic year to candidates, who have obtained the highest marks in the province of Ontario)

From the results of her students, we can tell that Ms. Shoon has got a successful teaching method, which encourages students to love and appreciate piano music.
