Born in Kiev, capital of the Ukraine, into a family of well known musicians, Oksana played piano from an early age. At age 7, she embarked on an 11 year programme at the 'Kiev Special School of Music', a prestigious boarding school associated with the 'Tchaikovsky State Conservatory', specializing in piano. A further 5 years was then spent at the 'Tchaikovsky State Conservatory' specializing in solo, chamber performance and pedagogy. Before coming to Canada as an adult, Oksana performed extensively in Russia, Bulgaria and Yugoslavia.

Arriving in Canada she established herself as both a performer and teacher, appearing with a number of well known artists including Marek Jablonski, Joseph Fridman and Michael Rose, while teaching at 'Alberta College Conservatory of Music' in Edmonton. On moving to Durham Region she established the Elite Piano Studio while teaching at other schools in Toronto.

During her 17 years of teaching in Canada she has had many medal winners at both local and provincial competitions & Festivals including first prize winners at Canadian Music Competition and Kiwanis.

Believing that 'starting right' makes future development easier, her studio specializes in developing younger students, as well as performance development for the more advanced student.

Associated with the Royal Conservatory of music and leading Canadian professional performers, Oksana is also a Registered Music Teacher and Vice-President of the Ajax-Pickering Branch of the Ontario Registered Music Teacher's Association.
