Nina Wu-Cotton holds degrees MMus in organ performance and church music from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ, and BES from the University of Waterloo; as well as the ARCM and ARCO diplomas from London, England, where she attended the postgraduate programme at The Royal College of Music. She has studied in Paris, France, with the renowned composer/organist, Jean Langlais, and attended masterclasses in Italy, Germany and the Netherlands. Her education also included studies in musicology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she completed courses required for the MA and PhD degrees.

She has over twenty years of experience in teaching. Many of her students have won numerous awards in competitions, including the Silver Medal, awarded by the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, for the highest mark in the province for a grade in a discipline.
