LARA SOLNICKI is a professional singer, composer, private music teacher and poet. A classically trained singer with a four octave range, her extensive and varied technical training has enabled her to sing everything from classical music and opera to jazz and new music. She performs regularly and records with many of Canada's finest musicians. Lessons may include formal RCM exam preparation, either classical or popular styles of music as well as music theory, musicianship skills and sightsinging. She holds a performance BA from the Glenn Gould School/ Royal Conservatory of Music, where she studied voice and piano in both Performance Diploma and Artist Diploma programs. Lara studied classical piano up to the grade 10 RCM level, has a solid background in jazz vocals and musicianship, has worked with speech pathologists and studied physical alignment in the Mitzvah and Alexander Techniques. Her debut CD A Meadow in December was launched in November 2010.
