Born in New Zealand, Ms. Saarinen has triumphed worldwide on the concert stage. Chosen by Arthur Fiedler to tour the world with him, Gloria has graced the stages of nearly every great concert hall in Europe and Asia. Ms. Saarinen has established her own classical music Television programme, created the One Third Ninth Trio who performed together for ten years, served as Professor of Music at the University of Calgary, promoted young Canadian talent and established a legacy akin to the greats of classical music. In addition to performing with conductor Arthur Fiedler, she has also been recognized for her appearances with Mario Bernardi, Sir Ernest McMillan, Maurice Handford and many others. When not perfecting her monumental talent, Gloria can be found climbing mountains, watching birds, teaching and inspiring her followers to new heights.
