Biography

Dr. Joseph Ferretti has performed in Europe, Canada and the USA as both soloist and collaborative artist. He has recently appeared in the McMaster University, RCM-Glenn Gould School, Wilfrid Laurier University, NUMUS, and Banff Centre concert series, as well as with the Canadian Chamber Ensemble.  

He was a selected participant in the Prague International Master Classes in the Czech Republic and has also served as coach accompanist/harpsichordist in the Opera Theatre and Music Festival of Lucca in Italy.  Joseph frequently performs as a duo pianist with Elaine Lau. Since 2002, he has been Staff Accompanist and Instructor at the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts, and has served on the faculty at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp since 2005.

Joseph studied with Doris Lehnert at the University of Colorado-Boulder, where he was honoured as both Outstanding Junior and Outstanding Senior in the College of Music. At the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, he studied with Eugene and Elizabeth Pridonoff and taught both undergraduate and graduate secondary piano.  He is currently a collaborative pianist for the Royal Conservatory of Music, and has been on the piano faculty at Wilfrid Laurier University since 2003.
