Ms. Potter holds a Bachelors Degree in Piano Performance from the University of Western Ontario, and a Masters Degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from the University of Michigan.

She has been the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards in both teaching and performing, including the prestigious Alice B. Kern excellence in teaching award, and the UWO Gold Medal.

Upon completion of her Graduate Degree, Ms. Potter was invited to join the piano faculty at the University of Michigan as Visiting Lecturer in Piano Pedagogy for the 1997-98 academic year. While in Michigan, she also acted as Co-ordinator of the All-State Piano Program at the Interlochen Center for the Arts. She is currently a member of the College of Examiners for the Royal Conservatory of Music

She has given numerous workshops and convention presentations throughout the United States, and continues an active career as an adjudicator and clinician. Ms. Potter currently resides in Toronto, where she maintains a busy teaching studio.
