I began piano lessons at age 5. At age 14, I entered De La Salle Public High School, a French arts school in Ottawa. There I studied violin for 5 years and played in the school orchestra, as well as the string ensemble. During this time, I also continued piano lessons, obtaining my Grade X Certificate in piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music(RCM) in 1995. That same year, I was admitted in the Bachelor of Music program at the University of Ottawa. I studied piano with Andrew Tunis, piano duets with Douglas Voice and piano pedagogy with Cynthia Floyd. I also played in the Ottawa U Orchestra, as a second violinist during my second and third year. In June 1999, after 4 years at the undergraduate level, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Music (B. Mus).

I was fortunate to begin teaching at age 18 at a local Music Academy in Ottawa. After graduating from Ottawa U, I branched out and founded my own music studio within my home. I have taught young children, teenagers and adults. My main goal as a teacher is to instill the love of music into my pupils as well as nurture their talent. For this reason, I aim to include a variety of mediums within the lesson. Each lesson is customized to the pupil. I feel the study of rhythm, scales, studies, as well as classical and popular repertoire is essential to form a well-rounded musician.
