Maya Djafarova, BA, MAInstrument(s) Taught: PIANO BiographyMaya Djafarova is an experienced classical piano teacher and performer from Moscow, Russia. She holds a Diploma in music pedagogy, Bachelor's and Master's degree in piano performances. Before Maya immigrated in 2001 to Canada, she successfully taught children for 40 years. In Russia she worked as a professor at Moscow City College, with her students often winning awards in performances at Moscow City competitions. Maya is teaching Russian classic piano style with attention to composition, sound and hand techniques; specializing in 7- ARCT grades and university level. Since 2002 Maya teaches piano at her private music studio in Toronto. Her students achieved the great results at performances; with 89% is the student's average mark in RCM exams, Toronto piano competitions and international competitions.
