Born in Armenia, Anna Vanesyan graduated from Komitas State Conservatory (one of the most prestigious Universities of the former USSR), where she received B. A. with Honors, Master�s and Post Graduate degrees in Piano Performance, Accompaniment and Piano Teaching. A. Vanesyan was honored to be in the piano class of Professor Ketty Malkhasyan, the representative of the legendary Russian piano school of K. Igumnov, professor of Moscow State Conservatory. In 2002 Anna was awarded with one of the most famed educational fellowships by the US Government and got a Masters Degree in Education at Ball State University in the USA. In 2006 Anna started Doctoral program in Piano Performance at BSU School of Music with Piano Chamber Music/Accompanying as the secondary emphasis. At the same time Anna was also working at Ball State University as an Assistant of Professor. In 2005 she was awarded the nomination of �International Professional of the Year� by the International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England. Since 2007 Anna Vanesyan has been working at the Young Artists Performance Academy at the Glenn Gould School at Royal Music Conservatory in Toronto and running a very busy piano studio. Anna enthusiastically offers classical piano study from Beginning to ARCT and University levels. Her students have gotten excellent RCM exam results, as well as won prizes at different competitions and festivals. Anna builds a solid musical foundation and develops a life-long appreciation for artistic expression. All lessons include emphasis on natural and effortless technique, music theory and develop an understanding and love for classical music. Anna offers also special experience in improving sound and technique in advanced players.
