Alan Hobbins holds a Bachelor and Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School, New York and an Artist Diploma from The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music.
Alan has been a community music teacher since 1993, and is currently the President of the ORMTA Markham/Stouffville branch. He has given successful concerts in Toronto, throughout Ontario and in his native West Indies. He has released three CD recordings to critical acclaim and was awarded the Chopin Medal of Recognition from The Frederic Chopin Society of Canada for his debut Chopin CD.
Students have won awards in the Markham and Richmond Hill Music Festivals, The Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival and the RCM Silver Medal Award (Grade 10). Preparation for all levels of study, including auditions and competitions. Examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music. Steinway B Grand Piano.
